The Abstract Committee for IPSSW 2010 invites the submission of original research, including works in progress, representing innovative projects, curriculum evaluation and technology programs and development. Abstracts previously presented at regional, national or international meetings are also accepted.
Simulation research using standardized patients/actors and virtual reality as well as mannequin simulators, task trainers and computer-based simulations are encouraged.  All abstract submissions will undergo peer-review.
The Abstract review committee will allocate accepted abstracts to one of two categories, based on scientific merit and preference indicated by authors: (1) oral presentation in themed round table/panel discussion sessions, or (2) poster sessions. In some instances abstracts submitted as oral presentations, and deemed to be of scientific merit, may be assigned as poster presentations due to limited availability of oral presentations in the program.
Workshops are one of the most popular educational choices for attendees at the conference.Intermediate and Advanced workshops are especially encouraged.Accepted proposals will be identified as being part of a designated theme so that attendees can schedule their session attendance along a specific area of interest.

Conflict of Interest
All presenting authors must indicate that they do or do not have a financial interest /arrangement or direct affiliation with a corporate organisation or party that has a direct interest in the subject matter of the abstract (including manufacturer(s) of any product or provider(s) of any service.

Declaration of Conflicts of Interest
Authors participating in the IPSSW 2010 should submit written disclosures of all competing interests that may cause a conflict of interest. Where more than one author is listed (or co- presenting) a paper or workshop submission, the presenting author will disclose on behalf of all. Disclosures should be made prior to being involved in the Symposium. Reviewers of abstracts and workshops should disclose any competing interest to the committee chair or abstract coordinator respectively.
